Level design analysis

This work consists of a detailed analysis of the level design of Ghostrunner , a first-person action video game that combines elements of parkour and combat in a cyberpunk environment. The study focuses on the structure of the first two levels, exploring how the basic mechanics, the learning curve and the management of tension along the course are integrated.

The analysis deepens the use of visual elements and spatial design that guide the player, the progressive introduction of new skills, as well as the strategic disposition of the enemies and the environmental narrative. In addition, the rhythm of the game is examined through the alternation between high-intensity sections and moments of pause or transition. This work highlights the techniques used to balance challenge and accessibility, providing clues on how a well-structured level design contributes decisively to the gaming experience.
